Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi to star in Zila Ghaziabad

MUMBAI: Fresh from the success of his film Tanu Weds Manu, producer Vinod Bachchan has jumped into the thriller genre.

He has signed Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi and Viveik Oberoi for his forthcoming film Zila Ghaziabad, a dramatic thriller that deals with rural UP mafia.

The film deals with politics and mafia as prevalent in Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh). It has both Dutt and Warsi playing grey shades, though the latter plays a proper negative role. Oberoi had earlier locked horns with Dutt in Shootout At Lokhandwala.

Though there have been quite a few films about the mafia of Mumbai and some have even explored the underbelly of Delhi, not many films have stepped into this part of the country.

To be directed by newcomer Anand, the film‘s shoot begins in July.
