Salim Khan back to screen writing

MUMBAI: Having stayed away from film writing since the last two decades, veteran screenwriter Salim Khan, father of Salman, Arbaaz and Sohail Khan, has decided to return to the creative world of film writing.

Going by the good response that Salman has been getting from his first project Chillar Party, Khan has decided to write the sequels to the film. Avers the film‘s co-director Vikas Bahl, “It was he who inspired us. This time around, we will consult with him on the screenplay and he will be our sounding board when it comes to screenwriting.”

Not only with Salman, the father has offered his services to Arbaaz and Sohail who are both film producers in their own capacity. “I don‘t work on films any longer. But whenever my sons need me, I‘m always ready to help them,” Khan said.

Salim Khan of the legendary Salim-Javed duo scripted numerous blockbusters like Zanjeer, Deewar, Sholay, Don and Shaan among others.
