Ragini MMS opens on a good note
MUMBAI: The week saw five releases of which one, Banda, was released like some state secret with one print at Alankar Cinema, Mumbai. Four other releases are Ragini MMS, Shagird, Love U…Mr Kalakaar and Stanley Ka Dabba.
Ragini MMS was the sole film to make an impact during its opening weekend, having collected around Rs 70 million. The other movies remained below par, collecting in lakhs.
Haunted-3D continued to do well during its first week run, after taking a healthy weekend initial. The movie‘s first week collections stand at Rs 147 million.
Luv Ka The End‘s performance remained below par. With a weak opening weekend, it closed its first seven-day run with Rs 49 million.
Challo Dilli collected Rs 21 million in its second week; its two-week total is Rs 83.5 million.
Shor In The City added Rs 10 million in its second week to take its two-week tally to Rs 53 million.
Dum Maaro Dum collected Rs 21 million in its third week. The movie has collected Rs 291 million in three weeks.

MUMBAI: Bollywood’s popularity contest has a new weekly scorecard, and the numbers are telling. IMDb’s Popular Indian Celebrities list for this week places Shanaya Kapoor at number six, buoyed by buzz around her film Tu Yaa Main. Naila Grrewal slots in at seven on the back of the returning comedy series Maamla Legal Hai, while Rashmika Mandanna climbs to eighth, riding mounting anticipation for Cocktail 2.
The list, available exclusively on the IMDb app for Android and iOS, tracks trending Indian entertainers and filmmakers each week, drawing on data from more than 200m monthly visits to the platform worldwide.
Further down the rankings, Raaka is keeping two of its biggest names in the spotlight. Deepika Padukone holds 11th position, with Allu Arjun close behind at 13th, as the film continues to find traction with audiences.
The list offers fans a weekly pulse on who is breaking through, who is holding steady, and who is fading. It is a barometer as unsparing as the box office itself.
