Moserbaer to release Righteous Kill on 12 September
MUMBAI: Moserbaer Entertainment is set to release Righteous Kill, a psychological thriller starring Hollywood actors Robert De Niro and Al Pacino, across theatres in India on 12 September.
Righteous Kill, directed by Jon Avnet, has been penned by Russell Gewirtz of Inside Man fame and the cast of the film also features hip-hop star Curtis ‘50 Cent‘ Jackson (Get Rich or Die Tryin‘), Carla Gugino (American Gangster), John Leguizamo (Love In The Time Of Cholera) and Donnie Wahlberg (Saw II, III, IV).
Says Moserbaer Entertainment chief executive officer Harish Dayani, “The film is a thriller that transcends boundaries; and the Academy Award winners have come out with superlative performances. Hence, we are going all out to make Righteous Kill release in India a no-expenses spared effort.”
The movie is produced by Avi Lerner and Boaz Davidson of Millennium Films along with Randall Emmett, Daniel M. Rosenberg, Alexandra Milcham, Rob Cowan and Lati Grobman. Danny Dimbort, Trevor Short and George Furla are executive producers while Marsha Oglesby is the co-producer. Also, Brian Frankish is the line producer of the film.

IMDb’s Popular Indian Celebrities list for this week places Shanaya Kapoor at number six, buoyed by buzz around her film Tu Yaa Main. Naila Grrewal slots in at seven on the back of the returning comedy series Maamla Legal Hai, while Rashmika Mandanna climbs to eighth, riding mounting anticipation for Cocktail 2.
The list, available exclusively on the IMDb app for Android and iOS, tracks trending Indian entertainers and filmmakers each week, drawing on data from more than 200m monthly visits to the platform worldwide.
Further down the rankings, Raaka is keeping two of its biggest names in the spotlight. Deepika Padukone holds 11th position, with Allu Arjun close behind at 13th, as the film continues to find traction with audiences.
The list offers fans a weekly pulse on who is breaking through, who is holding steady, and who is fading. It is a barometer as unsparing as the box office itself.
