MUMBAI: Vikram Bhatt is back to some degree of success even as Mimoh comes back in his original name of Mahaakshay Chakraborty who also sees his maiden success with Haunted 3-D, India‘s first 3-D stereophonic film, the technique having played a major role on its success.

The film took a good initial and went on to do well over the weekend to end with collections of Rs 93 million. The Monday collections are steady.

Y-Films‘ Luv Ka The End, despite some appreciation, fails to cash in at the box office; its meek opening is followed by poor weekend collection of Rs 23.5 million, mainly from multiplexes. The film had no promotion of any sort.

Challo Dilli, a no frills small budget entertainer, does reasonably well to collect Rs 62.5 million in its first week run.

Shor In The City fails to find identification with the audience, being a Mumbai slums-centric film; it collects Rs 43 million in its first week.

A bunch of other releases of 1 April, ‘I Am‘, ‘Men Will Be Men‘, ‘Naughty@ 40‘ and ‘Queens! Dance Of Destiny‘, fall by the wayside without making a mark at the box office.

Dum Maaro Dum adds another Rs 57 million in its 2nd week to take its tally to Rs 275 million.

Thank You collects Rs 11 million in its 4th week to take its total to Rs 459 million.
