Film based on Mumbai riots to have Mammooty

MUMBAI: Red Cross Films is producing a film based on the 1993 Mumbai rights titled Bombay 1993 March 12.

The production house has signed Mammooty to play the lead. The star will essay the character of Sanathan Bhatt, a victim of the riots.

To be directed by Babu Janardhanan, the film will portray the ill effects and sufferings faced by the nation after the Mumbai bomb blast.

The film is being made in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. It is expected to be shot in Mumbai, Rajasthan and Coimbatore.
