Farah Khan to make acting debut in Bhansali film
MUMBAI: Dance director Farah Khan is set to make her acting debut in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Shirin Farhad, said to be an uproarious comedy. Giving her company would be Boman Irani.
The film, to be made under the banner of Sanjay Leela Bhansali Productions, would also be the debut direction of Bhansali’s sister Bela.
It may be remembered that relations of Khan and Bhasali soured after Khan ridiculed Bhansali and his mother before the release of her Om Shanti Om that was pitted against Bhansali’s Saawariya.
Over the years, Khan has made the biggest of stars literally dance to her steps. From choreography she shifted to direction and directed films like Main Hoon Na, Om Shanti Om and Tees Maar Khan.

Naila Grrewal slots in at seven on the back of the returning comedy series Maamla Legal Hai, while Rashmika Mandanna climbs to eighth, riding mounting anticipation for Cocktail 2.
The list, available exclusively on the IMDb app for Android and iOS, tracks trending Indian entertainers and filmmakers each week, drawing on data from more than 200m monthly visits to the platform worldwide.
Further down the rankings, Raaka is keeping two of its biggest names in the spotlight. Deepika Padukone holds 11th position, with Allu Arjun close behind at 13th, as the film continues to find traction with audiences.
