Zeenat Aman revisits ‘Phoolon Ka Taaron Ka’ in Cadbury film
Actor recalls Dev Anand as Cadbury Celebrations brings sibling nostalgia back
MUMBAI: Some songs never really leave the family album. Zeenat Aman has brought one of them back into the spotlight after watching Cadbury Celebrations’ latest Raksha Bandhan film, which draws on the enduring emotion of Phoolon Ka Taaron Ka.
The veteran actor shared the film on Instagram, connecting its portrayal of sibling relationships with the iconic song, which remains closely associated with one of her most memorable on-screen moments.
“This reminded me of you, Dev Sahab,” Zeenat Aman wrote while sharing the film. She added that some sibling bonds can be “wonderfully complicated”, filled with love, laughter and a little takraar, or playful disagreement.
The post taps directly into the central idea behind Cadbury Celebrations’ #ThisTakraarIsSweet campaign, which celebrates the small arguments, teasing and rivalries that often become some of the fondest memories between siblings.
The campaign’s Raksha Bandhan film uses the familiar emotional territory of sibling relationships while giving it a contemporary spin. Rather than presenting sibling love as endlessly sentimental, it focuses on the everyday friction that sits alongside affection.
Zeenat Aman’s reaction has added another layer of nostalgia to the campaign, particularly through its association with Phoolon Ka Taaron Ka. The song, from the 1971 film Hare Rama Hare Krishna, featured Aman alongside Dev Anand and became an enduring cultural reference for sibling affection.
Her post also struck a chord with fans, who shared their own stories of sibling bonds and playful fights in the comments.
For Cadbury Celebrations, the moment neatly extends the campaign beyond the television commercial. By bringing a familiar face and a much-loved song from Hindi cinema’s past into the conversation, the brand has turned a Raksha Bandhan message into a broader celebration of memories, music and the sweet side of sibling takraar.
