William Brown joins Omnicom Media as group director, global value
Brown moves from WPP Media to take up the global value role, bringing experience across global investment, accountability and media strategy.
LONDON: William Brown has joined Omnicom Media as group director, global value, marking a new chapter in a career spanning media investment, accountability and global client work.
Based in London, Brown announced the appointment in October 2026, saying he was looking forward to reconnecting with familiar faces, working across global clients within Initiative’s portfolio and collaborating with teams across the business.
Brown joins Omnicom Media on a contract basis from WPP Media, where he served as account director, global investment, from June 2025 to October 2026.
Before that, he spent more than three years at Initiative as associate director, accountability, from May 2022 to June 2025. His earlier career includes six years and six months at MAGNA Global, where he held roles spanning investment analysis and accountability.
He began at MAGNA Global as a junior investment analyst in November 2015, progressing to investment analyst in January 2017 and senior investment analyst in January 2018. He subsequently moved into accountability, serving as accountability manager from January 2019 to November 2020 and senior accountability manager from December 2020 to April 2022.
The move brings together Brown’s experience across media investment, performance accountability and global client operations. His progression through analytical and managerial roles provides a foundation for his new remit, which will involve working across global clients within Initiative’s portfolio.
For Omnicom Media, the appointment adds experience in media investment and accountability to its global value function. Brown’s move also marks a return to working with familiar industry contacts as he takes on responsibilities across a wider portfolio of global clients.
