VR Films & Studios reports strong FY26 turnaround with annual profit
Mumbai-based company cuts costs to return to profitability
MUMBAI: VR Films & Studios Limited has returned to profitability for the financial year ending 31 March 2026. The company, recorded a standalone net profit of Rs 96.62 lakh for the year, representing a significant turnaround from the Rs 374.44 lakh loss reported in the previous financial year.
The Board of Directors met today to approve the audited financial results, which showed a total annual income of Rs 1,207.47 lakh. Although this was a decrease from the previous year’s income of Rs 1,248.56 lakh, the company achieved profitability by substantially reducing its total expenses. Expenses for the year fell to Rs 1,081.54 lakh, down from Rs 1,741.58 lakh in the prior period.
During the meeting, the board also approved the appointment of M.R.V. & Associates as internal auditors for the 2026-2027 financial year. The firm, based in Mumbai, has extensive experience in auditing public and private sector entities, financial institutions, and banks.
The company’s performance in the fourth quarter was also positive, with a standalone profit of Rs 9.66 lakh for the three months ending 31 March 2026. This is a sharp improvement over the Rs 274.63 lakh loss recorded during the same quarter of the previous year. Quarterly revenue from operations stood at Rs 309.74 lakh.
“The Board of Directors of the company at its meeting held today has approved the standalone and consolidated audited financial statement,” said V R Films & Studios Limited managing director Manish Dutt.
With its return to a profitable status and a consolidated structure now in place, the company is focused on its core operations in film distribution and dubbing.
