BENGALURU: A fresh stitch in the leadership fabric. VIRGIO has promoted Hansa Nigam as its chief marketing officer, strengthening its leadership team as the sustainable fashion brand prepares for its next phase of growth.

Nigam, who joined the company in 2023, has been instrumental in shaping VIRGIO’s brand identity and consumer engagement. In her expanded role, she will lead the company’s marketing and growth strategy, with a focus on strengthening brand visibility, driving customer acquisition and reinforcing VIRGIO’s positioning at the intersection of fashion, technology and sustainability.

The appointment comes as VIRGIO continues to scale its business through a demand-led production model, responsible sourcing practices and technology-driven decision-making. As consumers increasingly look for brands that combine style with transparency and sustainability, the company is placing greater emphasis on marketing to build long-term customer trust and loyalty.

Before joining VIRGIO, Nigam built experience across brand strategy, digital marketing and consumer growth. At OnePlus, she led marketing initiatives for the OnePlus Nord smartphone portfolio across India and international markets. She later worked at Glance, overseeing digital marketing for several celebrity-led brands, before beginning her career in strategic planning at The Glitch, where she worked on brand strategy for leading consumer businesses.

The company believes this blend of large-brand experience and startup execution has helped shape Nigam’s approach to building culturally relevant campaigns that also deliver measurable business outcomes.

Commenting on her appointment, Hansa Nigam said she was excited to take on the role as the company enters a new stage of expansion.
