Urban Company’s Saudi Arabia unit ceases to be subsidiary after registration ends
Commercial registration of Saudi arm cancelled as winding-up process moves ahead
NEW DELHI: One chapter has officially closed for Urban Company in Saudi Arabia. The company has announced that its step-down subsidiary, Urban Company Arabia for Information Technologies (UC KSA), has ceased to be a subsidiary following the cancellation of its commercial registration.
In a regulatory filing, Urban Company said it had received an intimation from the Ministry of Commerce, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia confirming that UC KSA’s commercial registration was cancelled with effect from May 24, 2026.
The development follows the company’s earlier disclosures on November 1, 2025, and May 8, 2026, regarding the voluntary dissolution and winding-up of its Saudi Arabian unit. With the cancellation now taking effect, UC KSA no longer qualifies as a step-down subsidiary of Urban Company.
The company clarified that the remaining procedural formalities related to the voluntary dissolution and winding-up process are still underway and will be completed in due course.
The move marks another milestone in Urban Company’s restructuring of its international operations. While the legal status of the Saudi entity has changed, the company indicated that the winding-up process has not yet been fully concluded.
With the commercial registration now off the books, Urban Company has effectively drawn the curtain on its Saudi subsidiary, bringing the entity one step closer to a complete and formal closure.
