UBS names Sudhesh Singh executive director
Tech specialist rises to lead innovation across banking systems
PUNE: Sudhesh Singh has been promoted to executive director at UBS, marking a notable step up in his career within the global financial services industry. In his new role, Singh is expected to help drive technology-led initiatives and strengthen the bank’s capabilities across investment banking and financial technology operations.
The promotion follows a steady rise through the ranks at UBS. Singh joined the firm as director in 2023 and worked as the technical architect and delivery manager for the central pre-trade risk engine, a critical system that helps banks assess risk before trades are executed.
Before returning to UBS, Singh spent nearly a decade at Credit Suisse, where he held a series of leadership roles, including vice president. His earlier career includes stints at Barclays Investment Bank, where he worked on high-frequency trading systems for FX instruments, and at Ion Trading, developing connectivity solutions for fixed income and foreign exchange markets.
With close to two decades of experience across global financial institutions, Singh has built a reputation around complex trading platforms and risk systems. His promotion signals UBS’s continued focus on strengthening its technology backbone, where speed, precision and resilience often matter as much as the trades themselves.
