Titan Edge launches Squircle Titanium watch in Grade 5 titanium for Engineers’ Day

BENGALURU: Edge by Titan has marked Engineers’ Day with the launch of its new Squircle Titanium, bringing its signature squircle design to Grade 5 titanium for the first time.

The limited-edition timepiece combines the brand’s focus on ultra-slim watchmaking with a material known for its strength-to-weight ratio. Grade 5 titanium is around 40 per cent lighter than stainless steel and also offers corrosion resistance and hypoallergenic properties.

The case and bracelet are made from Grade 5 titanium, while the watch measures just 4.85 mm in thickness. Powering it is the Edge Calibre T9081, an in-house stepper quartz movement engineered to a thickness of 1.15 mm.

The watch retains Edge’s distinctive Squircle geometry, which blends square and circular forms. It is available in matte and gloss finishes. The matte version features a two-tone matte dial, while the gloss edition combines a polished titanium case and bezel with a two-tone mirror-finish dial.

Both variants feature sapphire glass, baton hands and minimal stick indices at 12 and 6, keeping the focus on the case shape and titanium construction.

The launch extends Edge’s ‘Engineered with heART’ philosophy, which focuses on the engineering, creativity and problem-solving behind its watches. The accompanying campaign also spotlights Edge engineers through a series of LinkedIn posts, alongside campaign imagery featuring actor Jim Sarbh.

Titan Premium & Luxury Watches CSMO Kalpana Rangamani said the launch brings together one of Edge’s distinctive forms with a material that requires precision throughout the manufacturing process. She added that Engineers’ Day provides an opportunity to highlight the people and engineering thinking behind the watch.

The Squircle Titanium is available in select Titan stores and online. Priced at Rs 86,995, the limited-edition watch is offered in matte and gloss Grade 5 titanium finishes.
