HYDERABAD: Ten years at one firm, three rungs climbed, and a new title to show for it. Sourabh Sinha has been promoted to vice president at Capgemini, a step he announced in October 2026 with a warm word of thanks to everyone who supported, challenged and believed in him along the way.

Based in Hyderabad, Telangana, Sourabh joined Capgemini in April 2016 as director and has now spent 10 years and 7 months with the company. In October 2020 he became senior director, ADM COE and delivery transformation lead for the US market unit at Capgemini FS, with a focus on public cloud. The vice president role, which began in October 2026, is the latest chapter in a steady and well-earned ascent.

He describes himself as an experienced director with a demonstrated history in the information technology and services industry. His strengths include Oracle Database, DevOps, IT strategy, business intelligence and cloud computing IaaS. It is a toolkit that matches where the industry’s money is flowing: cloud, automation and data.

His brief at the financial services business unit, where he brings more than 17 years of IT industry experience, is a weighty one. Sourabh is responsible for software delivery for a portfolio of top US-based financial organisations. He has also driven a workforce transformation initiative and is part of the ADM COE, with expertise in agile, DevOps and cloud-native development. His specialities include core banking implementation, call centre application development and SOA and services strategy, and he is certified in TOGAF. Delivering software for large banks is unforgiving work, where reliability counts for more than flair, and a decade-long run suggests clients have been satisfied.

Sourabh is no one-dimensional technologist. His leadership remit has also taken in employee engagement, hackathons, college hiring and strategic hiring, the kind of people work that keeps a large delivery organisation fresh. His certifications include PMP, CSM, SAFe Agilist and IBM Watson, a mix that spans project management, agile practice and artificial intelligence.

For Capgemini, the promotion rewards a long-serving leader in a market that matters: US financial services remains one of the biggest sources of revenue for Indian IT. For Sourabh, it is recognition of a decade of delivery. “A huge thank you to all who have supported me, challenged me, and believed in me along the way,” he says. A leader who credits his team is usually one worth keeping.
