Sony TV launches viewer contest for Tum Ho Naa – Ghar Ki Superstar
Daily rewards and weekly bumper prizes up for grabs from 1 June.
MUMBAI: The spotlight is getting bigger and this time, it’s extending beyond the studio floor. Sony Entertainment Television is turning viewers into contestants with the launch of the ‘Ghar Ki Superstar Contest’, an interactive audience engagement initiative integrated into its recently launched reality game show Tum Ho Naa – Ghar Ki Superstar. Hosted by Rajeev Khandelwal, the show celebrates everyday women and their inspiring stories. Beginning 1 June 2026, audiences will get a chance to participate directly by answering a simple question based on each day’s episode, transforming passive viewing into a daily game of observation and rewards.
The format is straightforward but designed to keep viewers hooked. Participants can scan the QR code displayed during the telecast or access the Sony Liv Assist WhatsApp service via +91 85919 75331. By typing “TUM HO NAA” or “SUPERSTAR”, viewers can answer the day’s question and stand a chance to win prizes every day, along with a bumper reward awarded weekly.
The initiative reflects a broader trend in television, where broadcasters are increasingly blending entertainment with interactivity to deepen audience engagement. As screens become more participative, viewers are no longer just watching stories unfold, they are becoming part of them.
At the heart of the contest is the show’s central theme, recognising the extraordinary contributions of ordinary women. While the programme showcases inspiring participants on screen, the contest aims to extend that recognition to audiences sitting at home.
Rajeev Khandelwal said the show has introduced him to numerous inspiring women whose stories deserve to be celebrated. He added that the contest allows the platform to acknowledge many more women beyond those featured on television, making viewers feel included in the show’s larger journey.
Since its launch, Tum Ho Naa – Ghar Ki Superstar has positioned itself as a platform that shines a light on everyday achievements often overlooked in traditional entertainment formats. The new contest expands that ambition by creating a more direct connection between the show and its audience.
For viewers, the challenge is simple: watch closely, answer correctly and perhaps walk away with a reward. For Sony, it is another step in turning appointment viewing into active participation.
After all, in a show dedicated to discovering household superstars, the next winner might just be sitting on the sofa.
