Seasoned FMCG leader takes charge of Zandu Care after driving Emami’s digital commerce push

MUMBAI: Sayuj Jaganathan has been elevated to the role of vice president and business head at Emami Limited, where he will now lead the company’s Zandu Care business.

In his new role, Jaganathan steps into expanded responsibility after serving as head of e-commerce at Emami since 2021, where he played a key role in strengthening the company’s digital commerce presence and advancing its omnichannel strategy across major brands.

With over 15 years of experience in the fast-moving consumer goods sector, he has worked across brand management, category leadership, e-commerce and direct-to-consumer strategy. His track record includes driving growth-oriented initiatives and new product development across multiple consumer categories.

Before joining Emami, Jaganathan held several leadership positions at CavinKare, where he worked on brand turnaround strategies, category expansion and digital commerce development. His work included scaling personal care and beverage portfolios and building new distribution channels across markets.

In an earlier LinkedIn post marking his new role, Sayuj Jaganathan said, “A new chapter. I have taken on the role of vice president and business head, Zandu Care. A new challenge. A larger responsibility. Looking forward to building what comes next.”

His elevation comes at a time when FMCG companies are increasingly focusing on integrated digital and offline growth strategies, with a stronger emphasis on brand-led consumer health portfolios.

Jaganathan’s academic background includes an MBA from Loyola Institute of Business Administration, where he also engaged in teaching and entrepreneurial initiatives early in his career.

With his expanded mandate at Emami, he is expected to steer Zandu Care’s next phase of growth, combining traditional brand strength with evolving digital-first consumer engagement models.
