Satish Nair named CEO of WPP Production India as Karthik Nagarajan exits

Mumbai: WPP Production has hit refresh on its India leadership. Satish Nair has been appointed chief executive officer of India, succeeding Karthik Nagarajan, who has stepped down after leading the company’s operations for three and a half years.

Nair takes on the role after serving as chief client officer for Asia Pacific at WPP Production, a position he has held since March 2024. In that role, he was responsible for strengthening client partnerships and driving growth across the region.

Before joining WPP Production, Nair spent more than 14 years at Hogarth Worldwide, where he held a series of senior leadership positions. He most recently served as global chief growth officer and managing director for global clients, overseeing international client relationships and business development.

During his tenure at Hogarth Worldwide, Nair also held roles including client services director, global business director, group account director and account director, building extensive experience across client management, business strategy and global account leadership.

Earlier in his career, he worked as account director at TEQUILA / TBWA, FutureBrand and JWT, developing expertise across advertising, branding and integrated marketing communications.

Nair’s appointment follows the departure of Karthik Nagarajan, who led WPP Production India through a period of growth and transformation over the past three and a half years.

With extensive experience spanning client leadership, global business development and marketing production, Nair is expected to steer WPP Production India’s next phase of growth as brands increasingly seek integrated content production and marketing solutions across multiple channels.
