Rajasthan tourism board opts for O&M and Percept
NEW DELHI: Good news seems to be pouring in for Ogilvy & Mather’s Delhi office. After being chosen as one of empanelled agencies for the Chhattisgarh Tourism account, O&M has also managed to get on to the panel of Rajasthan State Tourism Board.
Rajasthan Tourism, which had conducted a multi-agency pitch, has chosen O&M as one of its two empanelled agencies for its communication requirements. The mandate also includes branding exercise besides working on advertising. According to sources, the other empanelled agency in the picture is Percept Advertising.
O&M executive director, north India, Vibha Desai, said, “I think our understanding of Rajasthan as a market went in our favour. Also we had an unfair advantage as an agency because Piyush (Pandey) is from Jaipur. His understanding of Rajasthan as a state also helped us in getting empanelled.”
The details of the new campaign are yet to be worked out. The Rajasthan Tourism Board is currently working on its logo and design. “We were recently empanelled for the Chhattisgarh tourism account. So recent past has been good for us,” said Desai.
Besides these two new accounts, O&M already has had a profitable season in terms of awards as the agency’s Delhi office has won the Gold at Cannes for its Business World direct marketing campaign and Human Organ Procurement and Education Trust campaign will feature in Communication Arts magazine design annual in November this year.
