R K SWAMY Media names Navin Kathuria president, Vandana Acharya as EVP
Leadership hires aim to strengthen media operations across western, southern and eastern India
MUMBAI: R K SWAMY is reshuffling its media leadership deck. R K SWAMY has appointed Navin Kathuria as president of R K SWAMY Media Group and Vandana Ramkrishna Acharya as executive vice president, as the company looks to strengthen its regional presence and integrated media offerings.
Kathuria will lead the media group from Mumbai, while Acharya will be based in Chennai, where she will drive the company’s business across southern and eastern India.
Kathuria brings more than 26 years of experience in the media and advertising industry. He joins R K SWAMY from DDB Mudra Group, where he held a senior leadership role focused on digital transformation and the adoption of emerging media capabilities. This also marks a return to familiar ground, having worked with R K SWAMY earlier in his career.
Commenting on his appointment, Navin Kathuria said, “It is great to be back to lead R K SWAMY Media Group. This institution with a stellar reputation gives enormous freedom in operations, being entrepreneurial in nature. With the integrated model of Media and Creative working together, we are uniquely placed to serve large clients comprehensively.”
Acharya joins from Madison Media Ace, where she served as chief operating officer. In that role, she managed multi-region operations and oversaw a diverse portfolio of businesses while leading the execution of integrated media campaigns for clients.
At R K SWAMY Media, she will focus on expanding the agency’s presence and client partnerships across southern and eastern markets, regions where the company has had a longstanding media footprint.
Speaking on her appointment, Vandana Ramkrishna Acharya said, “It is great to be in Chennai and looking at the South and East opportunities. R K SWAMY is a leader in the region with over five decades of media engagements. I am excited to contribute to building this further. The clients in the region are sophisticated and successful, and we can do great things as an integrated service in partnership with them.”
Welcoming the appointments, R K SWAMY group media advisor, K Satyanarayana, said the additions reinforce the company’s commitment to strengthening its media business.
“We have an exceptional track record of delivering superior quality of media service to clients. The addition of these two senior leaders reflects our continuing investment in the media service and commitment to clients to help them navigate a fragmented media environment,” he said.
The appointments come as agencies continue to bolster leadership teams to help clients navigate an increasingly complex advertising ecosystem shaped by digital transformation, fragmented media consumption and growing demand for integrated marketing solutions.
