Qure.ai appoints Mihir Bhanushali as executive vice president, global health

Mumbai: Healthcare AI company Qure.ai has appointed Mihir Bhanushali as executive vice president, global health, as it looks to accelerate the expansion of its AI-powered healthcare solutions across low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).

Bhanushali joins Qure.ai from Freshworks, where he served as senior director, global sales. He has also held leadership roles at Rippling and Whatfix, with experience spanning sales, go-to-market strategy and commercial transformation.

At Qure.ai, Bhanushali will lead the company’s next phase of growth across Africa, Southeast Asia, South Asia and Latin America. His remit will cover solutions focused on infectious diseases, including tuberculosis and HIV, as well as broader care delivery across frontline health systems.

The appointment comes as Qure.ai expands its focus beyond screening and early diagnosis into wider healthcare delivery. Its AI solutions are currently deployed across more than 107 countries and 5,200 sites.

The company has established a public health presence in markets including Nigeria and Kenya, where its technology is being used for areas such as TB screening, early diagnosis and care delivery.

Qure.ai is now seeking to build on that base by helping public health systems develop digital and AI-enabled infrastructure that can support healthcare workers and primary care providers in making faster and better-informed decisions.

A key part of the expansion is Aira, Qure.ai’s AI doctor and clinical co-pilot designed for frontline healthcare. The platform combines clinical intelligence, digital workflows and care coordination closer to the point of care.

Its applications span primary care, telemedicine, HIV, infectious diseases and pandemic preparedness, giving Qure.ai a broader opportunity to integrate AI into day-to-day healthcare delivery rather than limiting it to diagnostic screening.

Warier added that Bhanushali’s international commercial experience would help the company build on its existing presence and expand Aira into new markets and use cases.

For Bhanushali, the opportunity lies in taking Qure.ai’s existing technology footprint deeper into frontline healthcare.
