Punit Kulkarni elevated to vice president, client services at WPP Media

Digital marketing veteran steps up after nearly four years leading key client mandates

Mumbai: It’s a promotion with plenty of growth built in. Punit Kulkarni has been appointed vice president, client services at WPP Media, marking the latest milestone in a career spanning more than 16 years in digital marketing and business growth.

Kulkarni announced his new role through a LinkedIn post, confirming that he has taken charge as vice president, client services at WPP Media from August 2026.

The appointment follows nearly four years at WPP Media, where he most recently served as partner, digital lead. In that role, he oversaw digital strategy across client portfolios, focusing on business growth, marketing strategy and key client relationships.

Before joining WPP Media in 2022, Kulkarni held leadership roles at PharmEasy, where he served as assistant general manager and senior growth manager. His responsibilities included managing paid and organic growth across businesses such as over-the-counter healthcare products, diagnostics and Thyrocare, while overseeing acquisition, retention and performance marketing initiatives.

Earlier in his career, he worked as performance manager at GNC, leading performance marketing, customer acquisition and user retention programmes across digital channels.

Kulkarni also spent nearly two years as digital marketing manager at GEP Worldwide, where he managed paid media campaigns and lead generation. Before that, he spent almost seven years at Logicserve Digital, working across sectors including BFSI, e-commerce, healthcare, retail, education and travel, with expertise in search marketing, analytics, SEO and performance advertising.

On the academic front, Kulkarni completed the Chief Marketing Officer Programme at Indian Institute of Management Indore in 2024. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in mass media with a specialisation in advertising from University of Mumbai.

With extensive experience across agency, consumer and healthcare businesses, Kulkarni’s elevation reflects WPP Media’s continued focus on strengthening client leadership as brands increasingly seek integrated, data-driven marketing strategies.
