Publicis Groupe promotes Abhishek Mathur to director, digital buying
Mathur takes on the role after more than two years with the agency group
MUMBAI: Publicis Groupe has elevated Abhishek Mathur to director, digital buying.
Mathur announced the move on LinkedIn, taking on the new role in July 2026 after serving as associate director, digital buying at Publicis Groupe since January 2024.
In his previous role, Mathur was involved in digital trading and buying, building on his experience across digital media planning, strategy and campaign execution.
Mathur joined Publicis Groupe in January 2024 after a year at Mindshare, where he served as digital director from December 2022 to December 2023. His responsibilities included digital media and technology discussions with clients, along with developing integrated digital approaches for strategic launches and campaigns.
Before Mindshare, Mathur spent more than two years with OMD Worldwide as supervisor, digital planning, between December 2018 and December 2020. He worked across digital media strategy, programmatic, search, social and display planning.
He began his career in digital media with Performics.Convonix, where he worked as associate, media solutions from August 2017 to November 2018.
Earlier, Mathur worked at Cybage as an ad operations specialist, handling digital advertising operations across platforms including DCM, DBM, Sizmek, Celtra and Atlas.
With experience spanning ad operations, digital planning, media strategy and buying, Mathur’s elevation adds to his growing remit within Publicis Groupe’s digital media operations.
