Philips Home Appliances seeks creative partners for two key categories
The agency pitch seeks brand-building expertise, integrated campaigns and full-funnel communication
MUMBAI: The creative kettle is on the boil at Philips Home Appliances. The company has begun a search for creative agency partners for two of its biggest and fastest-growing categories, opening a competitive pitch for agencies with strong brand-building and integrated marketing capabilities.
The agency search was flagged by Loveleen Kaur, Content and Creative Lead, Philips Home Appliances, who invited agencies to share their credentials for consideration. The company has not disclosed the two categories covered by the pitch.
The brief points to a mandate that goes beyond producing a campaign and calling it a day. Philips is looking for agencies with a proven track record in building brands and categories, developing end-to-end creative campaigns for large brands and creating communication frameworks that work across the consumer journey and multiple touchpoints.
The emphasis on looking beyond campaign-led creative suggests Philips is seeking partners capable of shaping longer-term brand communication rather than simply delivering individual advertising bursts.
The company is also looking for communication that can travel across the full consumer lifecycle, pointing towards an integrated approach spanning different consumer touchpoints rather than treating each channel as a separate creative exercise.
The pitch comes as consumer appliance brands increasingly bring digital, retail, commerce and content into the same marketing mix, with brands looking to influence consumers across discovery, consideration and purchase rather than relying solely on traditional advertising.
While Philips has kept the identities of the two categories under wraps, it has described them as significant businesses with strong growth potential. That is likely to make the pitch an interesting one for agencies looking to add large, growing consumer mandates to their portfolios.
Interested agencies have been asked to share their agency profiles and credentials via direct message, with Philips clarifying that shortlisted agencies will be contacted for the next stage of discussions and briefings.
The LinkedIn post quickly attracted hundreds of reactions and comments from the advertising and marketing fraternity. Kaur subsequently switched off comments, noting that the team wanted to review the responses already received.
For agencies, then, the brief is less about chasing one big campaign and more about proving they can build the whole brand story — from the first impression to the final purchase.
