PHD Media names Sarvesh Pawshe as GM – strategy for Marico
Pawshe joins PHD after nearly nine years at WPP Media, most recently as senior director
MUMBAI: PHD Media is adding a new strategist to its Marico playbook. The agency has appointed Sarvesh Pawshe as general manager, strategy, for the Marico business. Pawshe confirmed the move in a LinkedIn post, describing it as the beginning of a “new chapter” at PHD Media.
Pawshe joins PHD after nearly nine years at WPP Media, where he most recently served as senior director. He spent close to four years in the senior director role, having previously held positions including director and business manager at the agency.
In his new role, Pawshe will work on the Marico account, bringing experience across client relationship management, integrated media strategy, consumer-centric planning, media investment planning and vendor partnerships.
His career in media spans more than a decade. Pawshe began as a leadership trainee at GroupM in 2015 before moving to SPAN Labs, where he worked as a manager between 2015 and 2017.
He subsequently joined WPP Media in 2017 as business manager and moved through the ranks to become director in 2019 and senior director in 2022.
Alongside his agency career, Pawshe has also been associated with MICA as visiting faculty since 2023, where he teaches in the communications and media space.
Pawshe holds a PGDM in communications and media management from MICA. During his time there, he also conducted research on media piracy and its impact on the economy.
His appointment comes as media agencies increasingly look to combine traditional planning expertise with sharper consumer understanding and integrated strategies. For PHD Media, Pawshe’s experience across media planning, client management and brand growth adds another layer to its Marico mandate.
