Digital media strategist steps up after leading planning and strategy across key client mandates
MUMBAI: Faraaz Khan is moving up the media ladder. The digital media strategist has been promoted to associate director at Omnicom Media, marking the latest milestone in his career after more than two years with the agency network.
Khan announced the promotion on LinkedIn, thanking his leaders, mentors and colleagues for their support throughout his journey.
“I’m incredibly grateful to my leaders, mentors, teammates, and everyone I’ve had the opportunity to work with. Your trust, guidance, and support have played a huge role in this journey,” he wrote, adding that he looks forward to taking on bigger challenges, delivering impactful work and continuing to learn.
Khan has been with Omnicom Media since February 2024. Before his promotion, he served as group head for digital planning and strategy, leading media planning initiatives and digital strategy across client portfolios.
Prior to joining Omnicom Media, he spent nearly a year as business group head at Wavemaker. He also worked at Madison World, where he served as account manager and senior planning manager, handling media planning and strategy for brands including Marico’s hair oil portfolio. His responsibilities included integrated television and digital media planning, campaign measurement and client strategy.
Earlier in his career, Khan held roles at Wavemaker as a business executive and digital planner, laying the foundation for his expertise in digital media and integrated marketing.
His promotion comes as media agencies continue to deepen their digital capabilities, with experienced planners increasingly taking on leadership roles to help brands navigate a fast-changing advertising landscape.
