Nikon India targets video-first creators with new campaign ‘The Creator’s Cut’
Campaign showcases Nikon ZR and creators turning everyday moments into cinematic stories
NEW DELHI: Nikon India is turning its focus towards India’s growing video-first creator community with the launch of ‘The Creator’s Cut’, a 360-degree brand campaign built around cinematic storytelling.
The campaign brings together content creators, filmmakers and emerging visual storytellers across categories such as food, fitness and festive content. It explores how creators can transform everyday moments into cinematic narratives through their own visual perspectives.
Nikon India said the campaign comes as India’s creator economy continues to expand, with an estimated 2.5 million to 3.5 million content creators across social media platforms, spanning nano to mega influencers.
Nikon India managing director Sajjan Kumar said the imaging landscape is changing as more people move from simply capturing moments to creating stories for digital audiences.
“With The Creator’s Cut, we are bringing these shifts together and demonstrating how Nikon’s imaging ecosystem can support creators as their craft and ambitions evolve,” Kumar said.
At the centre of the campaign is the Nikon ZR, part of Nikon’s Z CINEMA line, which combines Nikon’s imaging expertise with RED’s cinema heritage in a compact, video-first form factor.
The camera offers features including internal 6K RAW recording, RED colour workflows and 32-bit float audio, giving creators tools to experiment with cinematic techniques and new content formats.
The campaign also draws on India’s diverse cultural landscape through festive films around Onam, Ganesh Chaturthi, Durga Puja and Diwali. These films feature creators reinterpreting familiar traditions and personal moments through a cinematic lens.
‘The Creator’s Cut’ is part of Nikon India’s broader creator-focused strategy, which includes the launch of the Nikon Z5IIC and expansion of its Creator Program and Experience Zones across the country.
