MUMBAI: As India’s AI race gathers speed, one cloud company is adding a seasoned navigator to help chart the course. Neysa has appointed veteran technology executive Anup Purohit as strategic advisor, bringing more than three decades of enterprise technology leadership to its growing AI infrastructure business.

The appointment comes as organisations across industries accelerate their AI ambitions and look for reliable ways to build, deploy and scale artificial intelligence capabilities. Neysa, which develops cloud infrastructure designed specifically for AI workloads, is positioning itself to meet that demand through its proprietary AI platform, Velocis.

Purohit brings an extensive track record spanning some of the world’s leading technology and financial services organisations. During his career, he has served as global chief information officer at Wipro, group chief information officer at YES Bank, head of IT at RBL Bank, and held senior technology leadership roles at Barclays and JPMorgan across Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Africa.

Over the years, he has overseen large-scale technology programmes, managed complex enterprise environments and helped organisations navigate multiple waves of digital transformation. His experience is expected to support Neysa as enterprises increasingly move AI projects from experimentation to business-critical deployment.

In his new role, Purohit will work closely with Neysa’s leadership team to expand enterprise adoption of Velocis and strengthen engagement with organisations building AI into their long-term business strategies. He will also provide guidance on evolving technology priorities and enterprise requirements as AI adoption matures.

Commenting on the appointment, Neysa co-founder and chief executive officer Sharad Sanghi said, “Our mission is to help accelerate AI-led digital transformation for organisations across India. Building platforms such as Velocis requires more than infrastructure expertise. It requires a deep understanding of how enterprises evaluate technology investments, manage change and drive business outcomes. Anup brings that perspective from his experience leading technology organisations at global scale, and we are delighted to welcome him as we continue helping customers unlock the full potential of AI.”

Purohit said the opportunity to help build foundational AI infrastructure was a key factor in joining the company at this stage of its growth.

“AI represents one of the most significant technology shifts of our time,” said Neysa strategic advisor Anup Purohit. “Organisations across industries are evaluating how to translate its potential into meaningful business outcomes. What excites me about Neysa is its focus on building the foundational infrastructure needed to make AI adoption practical, scalable and accessible. I look forward to working with the team as they help organisations harness AI with greater confidence and impact.”

Beyond his new advisory role, Purohit currently serves as additional director and strategic advisor at Spliceforms and has advised boards, regulators and executive leadership teams across the technology and financial services sectors.

His academic credentials include a bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering from Mumbai University, completion of the Leading Change and Organisational Renewal programme at Harvard Business School, and certification as an independent director from the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs.

As enterprises continue searching for practical ways to unlock value from artificial intelligence, the battle is increasingly shifting from algorithms to infrastructure. By bringing a veteran CIO into its corner, Neysa is signalling that the future of AI may depend just as much on trusted foundations as it does on breakthrough technology.
