Net Insight brings enterprise live production to the Cloud with Nimbra Edge 520
Nimbra 520 and Nimbra Edge help scale live corporate productions worldwide
STOCKHOLM: Cloud nine may be a figure of speech, but for one multinational technology company, it is rapidly becoming the new production floor. Net Insight has deployed a Nimbra Edge contribution network powered by Nimbra 520 to help a global technology firm move its live event production into a cloud-connected environment. The deployment is designed to support a wide range of internal broadcasts, including executive town halls, panel discussions and product launch events.
The new workflow allows live feeds from on-premise venues to be sent directly into a cloud production environment before being distributed to corporate locations around the world. By combining edge-based media processing with cloud orchestration, the system offers a more scalable and flexible alternative to the customer’s previous production setup.
At the heart of the deployment is Nimbra 520, which handles media processing at each event location. The platform supports up to eight full-HD HEVC 4:2:2 streams, enabling high-quality video contribution while optimising bandwidth usage. Once processed, the feeds are delivered through Nimbra Edge in the cloud, where they can be centrally managed, routed and monitored before reaching viewers across the organisation.
The initial order was received and delivered during the second quarter of 2026, marking the first phase of what could become a broader cloud-connected production strategy.
For the customer, the shift is about more than technology. As companies increasingly host live events across multiple offices, regions and time zones, managing production efficiently has become a growing challenge. The new setup enables the organisation to support a larger number of events and locations while reducing operational complexity.
Net Insight says the deployment reflects a wider trend in the live media industry, where production workflows are moving beyond traditional broadcast environments and into enterprise settings. Organisations are increasingly seeking professional-grade infrastructure capable of handling both internal and external live communications at scale.
Commenting on the deployment, Net Insight chief executive officer Andreas Eriksson said the project demonstrates how cloud-enabled production is reshaping live media operations.
“This deployment is a strong example of how live production is expanding beyond traditional broadcast environments,” said Eriksson. “By pairing Nimbra 520 with Nimbra Edge, we help customers move live media from the edge into the cloud with the predictability, scalability and operational control needed for high-value internal productions. It reflects our focus on innovation, collaboration and trust in live media workflows.”
Nimbra 520 has been designed to deliver reliable live media transport across both managed and unmanaged networks. Combined with Nimbra Edge, it offers organisations a simplified operating model, centralised orchestration and the flexibility to adapt workflows as production requirements evolve.
As enterprises continue to invest in richer digital communications, cloud-connected production is becoming less of an experiment and more of an expectation. With this deployment, Net Insight is helping ensure that corporate storytelling can travel just as smoothly as the technology behind it.
