Nestlé MUNCH taps gaming creators for Hack the Crunch digital campaign
New campaign positions the chocolate wafer as a gamer-friendly snack for uninterrupted play
MUMBAI: When the game is on, every second counts and MUNCH wants to make sure snack breaks do not hit pause. The Nestlé India brand has rolled out its latest digital campaign, ‘Hack the Crunch’, aimed at gamers who want to keep playing without interrupting the action.
The campaign is built around a familiar challenge for gaming enthusiasts: finding a snack that does not get in the way during intense gameplay. To bring the idea to life, MUNCH has partnered with some of India’s leading gaming creators, who are showcasing how the chocolate wafer fits seamlessly into gaming sessions through creator-led content, livestreams and social media videos.
Rather than positioning itself through traditional advertising, the campaign leans into gaming culture by encouraging the community to come up with creative “hacks” for snacking while playing. The brand said gamers responded with humorous and inventive solutions, turning the campaign into a social media conversation.
Nestlé India, director, chocolates and confectionery, Gopichander Jagatheesan said the company aims to stay relevant with young consumers by participating in culture rather than simply advertising to them. He added that the campaign was inspired by a common gaming challenge of snacking while both hands are occupied with the controller, with the community itself driving the creative response through practical hacks and user-generated content.
The campaign highlights MUNCH as a snack that can be enjoyed without sticky fingers or complicated handling, allowing gamers to stay focused on gameplay while taking quick snack breaks.
‘Hack the Crunch’ is now live across streaming platforms and social media, inviting gamers to join the campaign by sharing their own snacking hacks and gaming moments. The campaign film is also available on YouTube.
