Navi ties up with Gomechanic, Readyassist for cashless claims
Insurer expands network to 1,600 garages across 500 plus cities
MUMBAI: For Indian motorists, the phrase “insurance claim” may finally be heading out of the breakdown lane. Navi General Insurance is accelerating its push into India’s fast-evolving digital motor insurance market with a clutch of partnerships aimed at turning the traditionally painful claims process into something far smoother and significantly less wallet-draining. The company has partnered with Gomechanic, Readyassist, myTVS and AIS Windshield Experts to roll out a “Cashless Anywhere” claims experience, allowing customers to walk into partner garages across the country and get repairs done without making out-of-pocket payments.
The move comes as insurers race to differentiate themselves not just on pricing, but increasingly on claims experience, the make-or-break moment for policyholders.
Under the partnerships, Readyassist will provide 24×7 roadside assistance across more than 19,000 pincodes while also supporting Navi’s physical claims surveys nationwide. The company said authorised representatives would be able to reach customers within hours of claim intimation for roadside breakdowns, on-spot surveys or servicing assistance.
Meanwhile, Gomechanic, MyTVS and AIS Windshield Experts will provide access to a wider repair ecosystem spanning garages and specialised windshield centres for everything from accident repairs to glass replacements.
Navi is also rapidly expanding its own service footprint. Its cashless garage network has more than doubled in just a few months from around 710 garages in January 2026 to more than 1,600 garages today across 500 plus cities. The company is now targeting a network of over 3,000 garages by June 2026.
“Our goal is to build the best-in-class motor claims experience anchored on three principles cashless anywhere, physical presence within hours where needed, and speed,” said Navi General Insurance managing director and CEO Vaibhav Goyal.
He added that while technology helps remove friction from the process, strong on-ground partnerships remain critical when customers need immediate support.
The timing is significant. Motor insurance now contributes roughly 32 per cent of India’s general insurance premiums, and competition is intensifying as more customers shift towards digital-first platforms. In an increasingly crowded market, insurers are betting heavily on seamless claims servicing and deeper garage networks to win customer loyalty.
Readyassist founder and CEO Vimal Singh S. V. said the partnership combines Navi’s digital interface with real-world operational reach, enabling faster assistance for policyholders across urban and rural India alike.
For Navi, the strategy signals a broader ambition to evolve beyond being just another app-based insurer. By stitching together digital claims, roadside assistance and a rapidly growing repair ecosystem, the company is attempting to build what many insurers have long promised but struggled to execute, an insurance experience that actually works when the engine stops.
