MUMBAI: Motorola is aiming to put more power in consumers’ hands, quite literally. Motorola has launched the sale of its new moto pad 70 PRO in India, bringing a flagship-grade processor, AI-powered productivity tools and a large high-resolution display to the premium tablet segment.

The tablet is available from 4 July through Flipkart, Motorola’s online store and leading retail outlets, with an effective starting price of Rs 32,999 after launch offers.

At the heart of the device is the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset from Qualcomm, which Motorola says delivers an AnTuTu benchmark score exceeding 2.5 million. The processor is paired with 8GB of RAM and storage options of up to 256GB, with support for expansion of up to 2TB via a microSD card.

The moto pad 70 PRO features a 13-inch 3.5K display with a 144Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 800 nits. For entertainment, the tablet is equipped with a quad-speaker setup tuned by JBL and enhanced with Dolby Atmos technology.

Motorola is placing significant emphasis on artificial intelligence with this launch. The tablet ships with the moto Pen PRO in the box, enabling AI-assisted features such as Smart Capture, Sketch to Image, AI Super Res and AI Live Transcript. It also includes Smarter AI Reader and AI Notes, designed to generate summaries, translations, explanations and intelligent note-taking for students, professionals and content creators.

For users seeking a laptop-like experience, the tablet supports an optional snap-on keyboard equipped with a dedicated Smart Key for AI access. Productivity features include Desk Mode, multi-window support, WPS Office integration and Smart Connect, allowing seamless interaction across compatible Motorola smartphones, tablets and PCs.

Despite its large display, the tablet measures just 6.2mm in thickness and weighs approximately 589 grams. It features a premium all-metal body finished in Pantone Titan.

Keeping the device running is a 10,200mAh battery with support for 45W TurboPower charging, aimed at delivering extended usage for work, entertainment and creative tasks with minimal downtime.

The moto pad 70 PRO is available in three configurations. The 8GB + 128GB model is priced at Rs 36,999, while the 8GB + 256GB variant costs Rs 39,999. A version bundled with the snap-on keyboard is available for Rs 45,999. As part of a limited-period launch offer, customers using eligible ICICI Bank cards can avail an instant discount of Rs 4,000, bringing the effective prices down to Rs 32,999, Rs 35,999 and Rs 41,999, respectively.

Customers purchasing the 8GB + 256GB model can also buy the Motorola snap-on keyboard at a bundled price of Rs 5,999.

With AI becoming an increasingly important differentiator in personal computing devices, Motorola is positioning the moto pad 70 PRO as more than an entertainment tablet, pitching it as a productivity-focused companion that bridges the gap between a traditional tablet and a lightweight PC.
