Motorola launches moto pad 70 at Rs 33,999 with 5G and AI tools
Tablet packs a 12.1-inch 2.5K display, 10,200mAh battery and moto pen
MUMBAI: Motorola is putting a little more muscle behind the tablet. The company has launched the moto pad 70 in India, combining 5G connectivity, AI-powered productivity tools and a large battery in a slim metal body, with an effective price of Rs 29,999 after an instant bank discount.
The tablet went on sale on 15 August at 12 pm and carries a launch price of Rs 33,999 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. An instant Rs 4,000 bank discount brings the net effective price to Rs 29,999, inclusive of applicable offers.
At 6.29mm thick and 530g, Motorola positions the moto pad 70 as the segment’s thinnest and lightest 5G tablet. It comes in the PANTONE Sea Angel colour and features an all-metal body.
The tablet is built around a 12.1-inch 2.5K display with up to 800 nits brightness, 96 per cent DCI-P3 colour gamut and TÜV Rheinland certification. For entertainment, it gets quad speakers tuned by Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio.
Motorola is also leaning heavily into AI. The bundled moto pen supports writing, sketching, annotation and note-taking, while AI Writing Tools, AI Notes, Circle to Search with Google and Google Gemini are designed to help users create content, organise information and find contextual answers.
The tablet also supports Smart Connect, while an optional moto folio keyboard with magnetic attachment can turn it into a more laptop-like workstation. The keyboard includes a dedicated holder for the moto pen.
Under the hood, the moto pad 70 runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 processor, paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. Storage can be expanded up to 2TB via microSD, while 5G connectivity is aimed at users looking for mobile access beyond Wi-Fi.
Power comes from a 10,200mAh battery, which Motorola says can deliver up to 13 hours of YouTube streaming on a single charge. A 68W TurboPower charger is included for faster charging.
The moto pad 70 is available through Flipkart, Motorola’s online store and leading retail outlets across India. The effective Rs 29,999 price is subject to the applicable offers and can change at the brand’s discretion.
