Motorola launches moto g37 Power with 7000mAh battery
New moto lineup brings AI features, 5G and buds starting at Rs 2,999.
MUMBAI: Looks like Motorola has decided that battery anxiety deserves its own extinction plan. Motorola has unveiled its latest smartphone and audio lineup in India, led by the new moto g37 Power, a device that arrives armed with a massive 7000mAh battery, AI-powered features, 5G connectivity and military-grade durability, all aimed squarely at value-conscious consumers who increasingly expect flagship-style features without flagship-sized bills.
Alongside the smartphone, Motorola also introduced the moto g37 and the new moto buds 2, expanding its ecosystem play as competition intensifies in India’s crowded mid-range smartphone market.
The headline-grabber is undoubtedly the moto g37 Power’s battery. Motorola claims the 7000mAh unit can deliver up to three days or roughly 62 hours of usage on a single charge, making it one of the biggest battery offerings currently available in the segment.
And Motorola clearly wants users to know this phone is built to survive more than just long Netflix binges.
The device comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection, MIL-STD-810H military-grade certification, SGS-tested durability and IP64 water resistance. In simpler terms: accidental drops, splashes and rough commutes are very much part of the design brief.
Under the hood, the smartphone runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 processor built on a 6nm architecture, paired with up to 8GB physical RAM and support for up to 24GB RAM expansion through AI-powered RAM Boost.
Motorola is also leaning heavily into AI features unsurprising in 2026’s smartphone race. The moto g37 Power includes Google Gemini integration, Circle to Search functionality and AI-based photography tools including Magic Eraser, Photo Unblur and Reimagine.
The camera setup features a 50MP AI-powered Quad Pixel rear camera system alongside an 8MP front shooter supporting HDR, portrait mode and gesture capture.
On the entertainment front, the phone packs a 6.7-inch 120Hz punch-hole display with up to 1050 nits brightness, Display Colour Boost technology and Dolby Atmos-powered stereo speakers.
The design language stays firmly premium despite the aggressive pricing. Motorola is offering Pantone-curated colour options including Pantone Capri, Pantone Nautical Blue and Pantone Impenetrable, paired with vegan leather finishes intended to add a more upscale feel.
Software-wise, the device ships with Android 16 out of the box and includes Motorola’s Hello UI, Smart Connect ecosystem features, Moto Secure and ThinkShield protection. The company has also promised an Android 17 upgrade alongside three years of security updates.
The newly launched moto buds 2 further strengthen Motorola’s connected-device ambitions.
The earbuds feature dual dynamic drivers, Hi-Res Audio, LDAC support, Spatial Audio and active noise cancellation up to 55dB. Motorola claims the buds can deliver up to 11 hours of playback on a single charge and up to 48 hours with the charging case.
The buds also support Bluetooth 6.0, gaming mode, wear detection, dual-device connectivity and CrystalTalk AI for clearer calls in noisy environments.
Motorola India managing director T.M. Narasimhan said the company’s focus remains on making premium smartphone experiences more accessible while building a stronger connected ecosystem for Indian consumers.
Pricing, meanwhile, places the lineup directly into the fiercely contested mid-range segment.
The moto g37 POWER starts at Rs 15,999 for the 4GB + 128GB variant, while the 8GB + 128GB model is priced at Rs 18,999. The moto g37 starts at Rs 13,999, while the moto buds 2 are priced at Rs 2,999.
All devices will go on sale from 25 May 2026 through Flipkart, Motorola.in and leading retail outlets across India.
Motorola has also tied up with Jio for bundled offers, including 5000GB cloud storage for 18 months and access to Google Gemini Pro.
Because in today’s smartphone wars, it is no longer just about battery life, it is about building an ecosystem that keeps consumers plugged in long after the phone hits 100 per cent.
