Macaw Paints unveils second TVC with Kartik Aaryan as Macaw Genie
Festive campaign spotlights 10,000 plus shades with a magical home makeover
MUMBAI: Move over magic wands, Macaw Paints is betting on a splash of colour, with Kartik Aaryan returning as the brand’s larger-than-life Macaw Genie in its second television commercial. The decorative paints brand from the house of Shyam Steel has built the new campaign around its signature thought, ‘Macaw ke rang, magic ke sang’, turning an everyday home makeover into a colourful wish-fulfilment act.
The TVC begins with a man casually petting a macaw in his room, only to get a rather magical surprise when the bird transforms into Aaryan’s Macaw Genie. From there, the Genie starts granting his wishes for the perfect home, with each snap, swirl and splash leading to a more vibrant transformation.
The makeover culminates in a before-and-after reveal, with tired-looking walls giving way to colourful, celebration-ready spaces. The central idea is tied to Macaw Paints’ palette of more than 10,000 shades, positioning the extensive colour range as the answer to virtually every homeowner’s colour wish.
Aaryan’s character brings comic timing and a playful energy to the film, while the Genie device gives the brand a festive route into the home-painting conversation ahead of Durga Puja and Diwali.
“Macaw Paints has a very fun and imaginative way of looking at colours, and I really enjoyed taking that idea forward through this film,” said Kartik Aaryan. He added that turning a homeowner’s vision into reality through a little magic felt particularly relevant during the festive season, when people look to make their homes feel special.
The campaign will extend beyond television during the Puja season, with Macaw Paints taking the ‘Macaw ke rang, magic ke sang’ platform across digital and social media, on-ground activations and other consumer touchpoints.
The festive push will invite consumers to make their own home wishes, extending the TVC’s Genie-led storytelling into a broader campaign around colour, renewal and celebration.
The latest film also builds on Macaw Paints’ association with Aaryan, which began in 2025 when the actor was announced as the brand’s ambassador. The second TVC uses his playful screen persona to reinforce the brand’s identity while targeting younger and aspirational consumers.
For Macaw Paints and Marketing Director of Macaw Paints and Shyam Steel Group Megha Beriwala Gupta, the festive period provides an opportunity to connect the functional act of repainting a home with the emotion of creating a more welcoming space.
With more than 10,000 shades, a Genie and the festive season as its backdrop, Macaw Paints is essentially asking consumers one colourful question: if you could make one wish for your home, what would it be?
