LinkedIn promotes Senthil Kumar Mani to director, experimentation platform

BENGALURU: LinkedIn has promoted Senthil Kumar Kumarasamy Mani to director, experimentation platform, strengthening its leadership around the systems that power product testing and experimentation across the professional networking platform.

Mani announced the new role on LinkedIn, having previously served as senior engineering manager, experimentation platform, online infrastructure, since August 2025.

In his new role, he will be part of LinkedIn’s efforts to scale its centralised experimentation platform, which enables engineering teams to test new services and product features, monitor their impact and assess statistical significance before wider deployment.

LinkedIn runs thousands of experiments across its products, generating millions of evaluations. The platform is also being evolved to support growing AI and machine learning workloads, with the company working towards a more automated and AI-assisted experimentation process.

Mani has spent more than five years at LinkedIn, joining the company in July 2021 as senior engineering manager, data and AI platforms.

During his tenure, he has worked across initiatives covering machine learning infrastructure, model deployment, model serving and user interaction data. He was also involved in LinkedIn’s Productive Machine Learning initiative, aimed at improving the development and deployment of machine learning models.

Before LinkedIn, Mani was senior engineering manager at Flipkart, where he worked on platforms for the lifecycle management of AI models, as well as enterprise knowledge graphs and embedding-based retrieval systems.

He spent nearly 14 years at IBM Research India across technical and managerial roles. His work included AI-based automation, software engineering for AI, AI model testing and application modernisation.

Earlier in his career, Mani worked at Infosys as a technical specialist and software engineer.

A graduate of Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, Mani holds a B.E. and M.Sc. in computer science and mathematics.

The latest elevation comes as LinkedIn continues to expand its experimentation infrastructure in India, including capabilities designed to support the growing scale and complexity of AI-driven product development.
