Lava reveals Virat V1 series specs ahead of 24 July launch
Virat V1 5G and Virat V1 to debut on Flipkart with big batteries and clean Android
MUMBAI: Lava is laying its cards on the table before the phones even reach the shelf. Ahead of the official launch of its new Virat V1 smartphone lineup, the homegrown handset maker has revealed the key specifications of the Virat V1 5G and Virat V1, offering consumers an early look at what to expect when the devices go on sale later this month.
Lava International will launch the Virat V1 5G and Virat V1 on July 24, with both smartphones set to be sold exclusively on Flipkart.
Leading the lineup, the Virat V1 5G features a 6.75-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, positioning it among the smoother-screen offerings in its segment. The device packs a 6,000mAh battery and carries an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance.
Powering the smartphone is the UNISOC T8200 processor, paired with 4GB RAM, which can be expanded by an additional 4GB of virtual RAM, and 64GB of internal storage. On the camera front, the handset offers a 13MP AI dual rear camera alongside a 5MP front-facing camera. Lava has also confirmed that the device will ship with a clean Android experience, free from advertisements and pre-installed bloatware.
The Virat V1 5G will be available in Arya Blue and Sonar Gold colour options.
The standard Virat V1 shares several design elements with its 5G sibling, including a 6.75-inch HD+ display, 13MP AI dual rear camera, 5MP selfie camera, 4GB RAM with support for up to 4GB of virtual RAM, 64GB storage, and the same clean Android interface.
However, it is powered by the UNISOC SC9863A processor and comes with a 5,000mAh battery, while retaining the IP64 dust and water resistance rating. The smartphone will be offered in Nilgiri Blue and Himalayan Silver finishes.
Beyond the hardware, Lava is continuing to emphasise after-sales support as a key differentiator. Both smartphones will be covered under the company’s Free Service@Home programme, allowing eligible customers to access servicing without visiting a service centre.
With the Virat V1 series, Lava appears to be doubling down on the value-conscious smartphone segment by combining large batteries, high-refresh-rate displays, IP64 durability, clean Android software and doorstep service support. Pricing is expected to be announced at the launch event on 24 July, when the company formally unveils the two devices before their exclusive availability on Flipkart.
