La Pegasus Polo renews partnership with the Campeonato Argentino Abierto de Polo
MUMBAI: Sanjay Jindal founded and Mumbai based La Pegasus Polo, one of India’s upcoming premier Polo establishments, today announced the renewal of its partnership with the Campeonato Argentino Abierto de Polo (Argentine Open Polo Championships 2019), and widely considered the world’s greatest Polo tournament. Now in its 126th glorious year, the Argentine Open has been played at the famous Campo Argentino de Polo of Palermo in Buenos Aires, every year since 1893. La Pegasus Polo will be partnering with the Asociación Argentina de Polo (Argentine Polo Association-AAP) as one of the tournament sponsors.
The tournament, a highest level 40-goal Masters designated tournament, is slated to be played between 16 November-14 December, 2019, with the legendary Adolfo Cambiaso- the world’s greatest ever Polo player, owned and led La Dolfina, looking to win a record 13th title and seventh on the bounce.
Along with the Hurlingham Open and the Tortugas Open, the Argentine Open forms the prestigious Triple Crown of the Argentine Spring Polo season, the most competitive in the world.
Speaking on the occasion, Sanjay Jindal, Patron & Founder, La Pegasus Polo said, “La Pegasus Polo continues in its endeavor to popularize the game and its players all across the globe. It is important that tournaments like the Campeonato Argentino are spread to more corners of the world so as to build aspirations among the youth and make them aware about the quality of Argentinian Polo. We have been doing our level best to popularize the sport of Polo in India, the land of its origin, and a renewed partnership with the Argentine Open only reflects their trust in us and India as a market for expanding this beautiful game where it all began. We hope that we can continue with the same for many years to come. We will have more good news to come soon.”
After a stellar 2018-19 season, where an All-Stars Argentinian team played against an All-Stars Indian team in India after La Pegasus partnered with the 125th Campeonato Argentino, a first successful Indo- Argentina collaboration in the sport was set in motion.
Eduardo Novillo Astrada, President of the Argentine Polo Association (AAP), also expressed satisfaction at the development saying, “We are really glad that La Pegasus Polo from a nation where cricket is the main sport, is making so many efforts to popularize the game of Polo. We had a very good experience last year and hence, we have decided to renew the partnership. Our future goals on Polo include India, the country of Polo’s birth, as one of the prime destinations for growing the sport in Asia and the response that we have seen makes us even more confident of doing so.”
Eduardo led an All-Stars Argentinian team last season to India and played three ‘Test ‘matches with an All Stars La Pegasus Polo India team beginning with the first game at Jodhpur. They then made a cultural trip to Jaipur before rounding of with two ‘Test’ matches at the Delhi’s famous Jaipur Polo Grounds.
The series ended in a thrilling tie with the visitors winning the first tie at Jodhpur before the hosts bounced back. In the final ‘Test’ the game ended 11-11.
The Argentine Ambassador to India, H.E. Mr. Daniel Chuburu, in between also graced the Ambassador’s Cup, an exhibition game hosted by Mr. Sanjay Jindal and played at Gurugram’s La Pegasus Polo Centre.
“We certainly look to bring the Argentinians back at some point again in the forthcoming season given the popularity they enjoyed last season,” said Mr. Jindal in his concluding comments.

Tech2.com returns with AI-driven revamp to guide India’s tech consumers
News18 relaunches legacy tech platform with AI tools and expanded coverage
NEW DELHI: Tech2, one of India’s earliest and most recognisable technology news destinations, is staging a comeback with a fresh, AI-first approach aimed at modern digital consumers.
Originally launched in 2003, Tech2 built a strong following among India’s tech enthusiasts by simplifying complex innovations and guiding purchase decisions. Now, under the umbrella of Network18’s News18, the platform is being reimagined for an era where artificial intelligence is reshaping how users consume and interact with information.
The revamped Tech2 blends AI-powered tools with editorial expertise, aiming to deliver smarter, faster, and more personalised content. While the technology stack gets a significant upgrade, the platform is consciously holding on to its familiar brand identity, creating continuity for long-time users while attracting a new generation.
At its core, the new Tech2 is positioning itself as a decision-making companion for consumers navigating an increasingly complex tech landscape. From gadgets and apps to broader digital ecosystems, the platform plans to widen its editorial scope to reflect how deeply technology now influences everyday life.
A key part of its growth strategy includes expanding into multiple Indian languages, signalling an intent to reach audiences beyond metro cities and tap into the next wave of digital adoption.
The relaunch also strengthens News18’s portfolio of specialised digital properties, which already includes platforms such as CricketNext for cricket coverage, Showsha for entertainment, and Local18 for regional reporting.
With its return, Tech2 is not just revisiting its legacy but attempting to redefine it. In a market flooded with information, the platform’s success will hinge on whether it can turn AI into a genuine utility for users rather than just a buzzword.
