Krishna Mishra joins ETGovernment as lead of community and government relations
The media and consulting veteran, who spent eight years building government partnerships at Elets Technomedia, will take ETGovernment into new growth regions
Krishna Mishra has swapped one newsroom-adjacent beat for a bigger one. After eight years forging alliances with governments, diplomatic missions and multilateral agencies, he has joined the ETGovernment team of The Economic Times Business Verticals at Times Internet as lead, community and government relations. The mandate is clear: plant ETGovernment’s flag in new growth regions and deepen its institutional collaborations with the government and public sector.
Mishra works in the media and consulting sector. His core expertise lies in collaborating with governments, diplomatic missions and multilateral agencies to develop knowledge exchange products on an end-to-end basis across the product value chain. In the new role, based in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, he will be responsible for establishing ETGovernment’s footprints in new growth regions and strengthening its institutional collaborations with the government and public sector. He joined in September 2026.
The track record explains the appointment. From September 2018 to September 2026, a stint of eight years and one month, Mishra was product head, special projects, at Elets Technomedia in Noida. There he was responsible for new product development in print, events and virtual media, built through profitable alliances with the central government, state governments, foreign diplomatic missions and multilateral agencies. The work spanned conceptualising the product outline, designing the delivery architecture, generating primary and secondary content, research and development, cross-channel promotion and managing the profit line. His products included business-to-government (B2G) conferences, contract publications, magazines and online portals.
Before that, from May 2015 to September 2018, a period of three years and five months, he was head of business development at L.B. Associates Pvt Ltd in Noida. He spearheaded the company’s international contract publishing projects vertical, identifying new business opportunities and revenue streams in international markets. He forged alliances with Indian and foreign government agencies, diplomatic missions, multilateral agencies, industry chambers and trade blocks, and conceptualised an outreach product.
His career began in financial services. From November 2008 to August 2014, a stretch of five years and ten months, Mishra was area manager at ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company Limited in Delhi. He oversaw the operations of a life insurance branch as a profit centre, covering overall branch management, including manpower planning, hiring, training, development and driving insurance sales. He was also responsible for acquiring and onboarding freelance finance professionals and mentoring them to drive branch revenue targets.
That arc, from running a profit centre to building products with governments and now to opening new regions for ETGovernment, is a useful fit for a platform that lives at the meeting point of media, policy and public-sector business.
Mishra was gracious in announcing the move. He offered heartfelt thanks to Gaurav Srivastava, Amit Kumar Gupta, Md Shahbaz Khan and Keshav Kumar for entrusting him with the responsibility. He extended equal thanks to Gunjan Abhishek Sharma, Payal Singh and Kanika Ganotra of the HR team for a seamless onboarding. “Excited for this new journey, new challenges and exciting new opportunities,” he said.
