MUMBAI: Krishma Solanki has been elevated to senior director, corporate communications at Publicis Groupe India, marking the next step in her 15-year communications career.

Solanki shared the development on LinkedIn, saying she was grateful to take on the new role and crediting the people she has worked with across the organisation for shaping her journey.

She has been with Publicis Groupe since July 2020 and has led corporate communications across Publicis Media India and Publicis Digital Experience (PDX) India. Her remit has included internal and external communications, media relations, corporate reputation, crisis communication, social media and communications around report launches and other events.

In her new role, Solanki will continue to work across the group’s corporate communications function, supporting communications for its agencies and practices in India.

Before joining Publicis Groupe, Solanki was chief manager and corporate communication lead at Culture Machine Media, where she worked between December 2018 and April 2020. She managed communications for the company’s digital properties and YouTube channels, including Being Indian, Blush, VIVA and Put Chutney, and worked on PR campaigns around digital show launches.

Earlier, she was associate account director at Moe’s Art from April 2017 to December 2018, handling brands including Zee Big Magic, BIG FM, ISHQ FM, ALT Balaji and Viu. Her responsibilities included strategic communication, media relations, press events and team management.

Solanki also spent nearly three years at Hill+Knowlton Strategies as senior management supervisor, where she worked on Sony Entertainment Television. She handled communications and promotions for the channel’s shows across 14 markets, along with media relations, press events and corporate communication.

Her earlier experience includes a stint as a senior reporter at Walt Disney World, where she conducted celebrity interviews and worked with production and editing teams on broadcast content.

Announcing the elevation, Solanki thanked Supraja Srinivasan for her support and credited her team for making the milestone particularly meaningful. She also acknowledged her 20-month-old daughter, saying her love and patience had made balancing work and life more meaningful.

Solanki’s elevation comes as corporate communications roles increasingly span reputation, media, digital and internal communications, making the function a broader strategic responsibility within large agency networks.
