KRBL bags twin honours at Global Brand & Leadership Conclave 2026 in London
India Gate earns Global Iconic Brand Award as KRBL is recognised for global leadership
LONDON: Rice to the occasion, indeed. KRBL Ltd has secured two major honours at the Global Brand & Leadership Conclave 2026, with the company recognised for its global market leadership while its flagship brand, India Gate, received the Global Iconic Brand Award.
The awards were presented at the House of Lords, where KRBL Ltd head of bulk exports Akshay Gupta accepted the honours on behalf of the company.
KRBL received the Global Leading Brand Award, recognising its strong market presence and leadership in the food industry, while India Gate was honoured with the Global Iconic Brand Award for its enduring consumer trust and brand equity.
Commenting on the recognition, KRBL Ltd head of bulk exports Akshay Gupta said the awards represent far more than commercial success.
He said the honours reflect the trust of millions of consumers, the commitment of the company’s employees and the efforts of thousands of farmers who form the backbone of KRBL’s business. Gupta added that, after more than 135 years in operation, the company remains focused on quality, authenticity and innovation while expanding its global footprint through stronger brands and value-added food products.
Founded over a century ago, KRBL has grown from a family-run Indian enterprise into one of the world’s largest premium basmati rice companies, with products sold in more than 90 countries across six continents.
The company attributes its growth to its fully integrated “farm-to-plate” model, which spans seed development, contract farming, processing, ageing, packaging and retail distribution, allowing it to maintain quality standards throughout the supply chain.
For India Gate, the recognition highlights the brand’s enduring appeal among consumers across generations and international markets. The basmati rice brand has built its reputation on authenticity, purity and consistent quality, making it one of India’s most recognised food brands globally.
The twin awards reinforce KRBL’s growing international stature and underline its ambition to continue taking Indian food brands to global dining tables while building on a legacy that stretches back 135 years.
