MUMBAI: Sometimes, the biggest impact isn’t in numbers raised but in smiles shared. Ketto, the crowdfunding platform known for healthcare and social causes, partnered with non-profit Ray of Joy and theme park Imagicaa to organise a day-long recreational outing for children from underserved communities and their caregivers, marking a shift towards more experience-led support.

The initiative reflects a broader approach to child development moving beyond essential services like healthcare, education and nutrition to include social and emotional well-being. While Ketto continues to mobilise funds through its platform and programmes such as the Social Impact Plan (SIP), the organisation is increasingly focusing on inclusion through real-world experiences.

As part of the programme, children spent the day at Imagicaa exploring rides, themed attractions and interactive activities in a safe and supervised environment. For many participants, it was their first visit to a theme park offering not just entertainment, but exposure to new spaces and a sense of freedom often missing from their daily lives.

Imagicaa hosted the group with trained staff and established safety protocols, aligning the initiative with its broader community engagement efforts aimed at making such experiences accessible to diverse and underserved groups.

The effort also highlights a growing recognition within the social sector: access to recreational spaces plays a meaningful role in emotional health. Experiences like these can help build confidence, reduce stress and foster a stronger sense of belonging particularly for children navigating challenging circumstances.

For both Ketto and Imagicaa, the collaboration underscores an evolving narrative around impact where support is not only about survival needs, but also about creating moments that allow children to simply be children.
