Jubin Desai joins Zee Music Company as senior marketing manager
The marketing veteran moves from BookMyShow to take charge as senior marketing manager, after a decade hopping between cinema, radio and Warner Bros. Discovery
MUMBAI: Jubin Desai has spent more than a decade bouncing between cinema halls, radio waves and streaming giants, and now he is betting on music. Desai has joined Zee Music Company as senior marketing manager, based in Mumbai, marking his latest move in a career built squarely at the crossroads of creativity and commerce.
He arrives fresh off a stint at BookMyShow, where he spent seven months, from October 2025 to April 2026, driving digital ad sales for movies. Before that, Desai spent six months at Radio City India as manager, films and entertainment, between May and October 2025.
His résumé reads like a tour of India’s entertainment marketing landscape. He spent six months as manager, brand communication and content strategy, at Balance Nutrition between September 2024 and February 2025, before which came his longest stint yet: over three years as social media supervisor at Warner Bros. Discovery in London, from May 2021 to July 2024.
Desai’s career stretches back further still, into the trenches of cinema marketing. He was sales manager at Inox Leisure for over two years between 2018 and 2020, assistant manager, digital marketing, at Eros International from 2016 to 2018, account manager at Radio City India for over two years between 2014 and 2016, and started out as a sales and marketing associate at Cinemax India between 2012 and 2014.
Across that decade-plus journey, Desai has built expertise spanning movie marketing and ad sales, brand and media partnerships, digital content strategy, cross-platform campaign execution, and influencer and creative collaborations, the kind of breadth that comes from sitting on both the content and commerce sides of the entertainment business.
Announcing the move, Desai said he was “happy” to be starting this new chapter at Zee Music Company, his focus, as ever, on connecting audiences with brands through storytelling that sells.
For Zee Music Company, the hire brings in a marketer fluent in both old media and new, just as the music label looks to sharpen its brand partnerships and content strategy in an increasingly crowded entertainment marketplace. For Desai, it is the next stop on a career that has refused to sit still, swapping screens for soundtracks as he turns the page on yet another industry.
