GURUGRAM: Range anxiety just met its match. Jio-bp, the operating brand of Reliance BP Mobility Limited, a joint venture of Reliance Industries and bp, has announced a partnership with Kia India to integrate their EV charging networks and make public charging more accessible for EV users across the country.

The numbers set the scale. Jio-bp brings 7,000-plus charging points across 1,100-plus sites in 300-plus cities to K-Charge, the integrated EV charging platform on the MyKia app. With the pulse network on board, Kia EV owners now have access to over 23,500 charging points nationwide.

The deal runs both ways. Kia’s 125 operational dealership DC fast chargers, and those still to come, will be made available gradually on the Jio-bp pulse charge pro app, extending the reach of both networks. Both K-Charge in the MyKia app and the Jio-bp pulse charge pro app cover the whole charging journey on a single platform, from charger discovery and navigation to session management and payment. Customers can locate available chargers, navigate to them, start and monitor sessions, and pay securely, all within the apps.

Speed and reliability are the selling points. Jio-bp’s DC fast chargers, from 60 kW to 480 kW, allow premium Kia EVs to charge closer to their maximum hardware capability. Its 96 per cent network uptime and strong presence along national highways support dependable long-distance travel, which is where EV confidence is won or lost.

Atul Sood, senior vice president, sales and marketing, Kia India, said: “At Kia India, we are committed to making every aspect of the EV ownership experience as seamless and rewarding as the vehicles themselves. The integration of Jio-bp’s extensive charging network with K-Charge on the MyKia app is another step in this direction, giving Kia EV customers greater access to charging options through a single platform. By enhancing convenience, choice, and accessibility, we are further strengthening the overall Kia EV experience and supporting the growing adoption of electric mobility in India.”

Sarthak Behuria, chairman, Jio-bp, said: “India’s shift to electric mobility depends on building trust at scale. Our partnership with Kia India reflects that shared conviction. By bringing our nationwide network and high-performance charging infrastructure to Kia, we are not just adding charging points, we are building that trust together. This collaboration marks a meaningful step in our broader vision to make clean mobility accessible, dependable, and future-ready for every Indian on the road.”

Akshay Wadhwa, CEO, Jio-bp, said: “For EV owners, range anxiety is often not just about charger availability, but about knowing whether the next charger will be operational. That’s where Jio-bp pulse comes in, with high-uptime charging stations and fast-charging technology designed to deliver a reliable, seamless charging experience. Together with Kia, we are making it easier for customers to access this network directly through the app. We are excited to give EV owners a charging experience that matches the quality of the vehicles they drive.”

What does Jio-bp bring? A network of 7,000-plus charging points across 1,100-plus active sites in more than 300 cities, significantly widening the geographic footprint available to Kia EV owners. Many sites sit along major national highways, enabling smoother, more confident long-distance travel. Its infrastructure includes high-capacity DC fast chargers from 60 kW to 480 kW, and the network maintains 96 per cent uptime.

The Jio-bp pulse “charge pro” app lets EV owners discover, charge and pay across the 7,000-plus charging points. Powered by AI, it provides real-time network intelligence, along with high uptime and reliability. Through the partnership, Kia’s 125 operational DC fast chargers across its dealerships, along with additional chargers to be commissioned, will be progressively integrated into the app, strengthening its promise of trust and convenience and reinforcing Jio-bp’s vision of reimagining mobility.

And the Kia side? The MyKia app is a comprehensive EV charging companion for Kia customers, bringing an extensive charging network and a seamless digital experience onto one platform. Following the integration of the Jio-bp pulse network, Kia EV owners have access to over 23,500 public charging points through K-Charge. They can locate nearby chargers, plan journeys, start charging sessions, track progress and make secure cashless payments through one unified interface. The integration reinforces Kia India’s commitment to making EV ownership more convenient, accessible and worry-free across the country.
