It’s time to declutter your closet: Join Mumbai’s largest clothes collection drive | 5 – 12th June 2026
This World Environment Day, Mumbai has an opportunity to turn old clothes into meaningful change.
MUMBAI: From 5th to 12th June 2026, ReFiber (powered by OterRi) is launching Mumbai’s Mega Post-Consumer Textile Waste Collection & Upcycling Initiative, inviting citizens across the city to give their unused / used clothes a second life.
Most of us have wardrobes filled with clothes we no longer wear. Some are forgotten, some no longer fit, and many eventually end up in the bin. What happens next is rarely considered. Thousands of tonnes of textiles are discarded every year, with much of it ending up in landfills, where it creates long-term environmental damage.
This initiative offers a simple alternative. Instead of throwing your old garments away, you can contribute them to a citywide collection drive, where they will be responsibly sorted, recovered, and upcycled into new products and materials by Tisser.
By bringing together citizens, industry leaders, environmental organisations, global institutions, and ecosystem partners, ReFiber (powered by OterRi) is leading a collective movement towards a cleaner and more sustainable tomorrow.
How You Can Participate
Decluttering for a cause has never been easier. Here’s how you can participate:
1. Download and Register
Download the ReFiber app and register using your phone number.
2. Book Your Slot
Book your collection slot between 5th to 12th June 2026.
3. Free Doorstep Pickup
Your clothes get picked up from your doorstep by OterRi rider.
4. Walk-in Registration
Walk-in registration is also available at designated collection points.
