Info Edge Q2 billings rise 12.8 per cent to Rs 822.3 crore, led by 99acres
Recruitment grows 12.6 per cent while 99acres jumps 21.2 per cent; Shiksha remains under pressure
NEW DELHI: Info Edge has found plenty of room to grow, with standalone billings rising 12.8 per cent year-on-year to Rs 822.3 crore in Q2FY27, driven by strong performances from its recruitment, real estate and matchmaking businesses.
For the six months ended 30 September 2026, standalone billings increased 13.5 per cent to Rs 1,559.3 crore, compared with Rs 1,373.2 crore in the corresponding period last year.
The company disclosed the figures in a quarterly business update released on 8 October, ahead of its official financial results. The numbers remain subject to review and approval by the audit committee, board of directors and statutory auditors.
Info Edge’s Recruitment Solutions business, anchored by Naukri, generated billings of Rs 613.8 crore in Q2FY27, up 12.6 per cent from Rs 545 crore a year earlier.
For H1FY27, recruitment billings rose 14.9 per cent to Rs 1,166.5 crore from Rs 1,015.3 crore.
The company said quarterly recruitment billings can fluctuate depending on the timing of customer renewals, with some clients renewing early while others defer renewals to a later quarter.
After adjusting for these timing differences, management estimates underlying recruitment growth at approximately 14-15 per cent in Q2FY27. Underlying growth was also around 15 per cent in Q1FY27, although reported growth in that quarter was higher at 17.5 per cent because of renewal timing.
Info Edge also pointed to increasing adoption of its B2B artificial intelligence products, with AI-Rex and Talent Pulse recording growth in both new customer sign-ups and revenue contribution.
Real estate platform 99acres was the standout growth engine during the quarter.
Its billings rose 21.2 per cent year-on-year to Rs 148.3 crore in Q2FY27, compared with Rs 122.4 crore a year earlier. This was an acceleration from the 16.5 per cent growth recorded in Q1FY27.
For H1FY27, 99acres billings increased 19.2 per cent to Rs 258.4 crore.
The platform’s share of category traffic remained stable, with web time-share at 49 per cent and app time-share at 59 per cent during July and August 2026, according to SimilarWeb data cited by the company.
The company’s matchmaking portfolio also delivered healthy growth.
Jeevansathi recorded an 18.4 per cent year-on-year rise in billings to Rs 39.7 crore in Q2FY27, compared with Rs 33.5 crore in the year-ago quarter.
Meanwhile, Aisle billings grew 40 per cent during the quarter. Combined matchmaking billings, including Jeevansathi and Aisle, rose 23.1 per cent year-on-year.
Jeevansathi’s H1FY27 billings stood at Rs 79.3 crore, up 16.3 per cent from Rs 68.2 crore in the first half of the previous year.
Education platform Shiksha was the weak spot in the portfolio, with Q2FY27 billings declining 27.2 per cent to Rs 20.5 crore from Rs 28.1 crore a year earlier.
H1FY27 billings fell 24.5 per cent to Rs 55.1 crore from Rs 72.9 crore.
Info Edge attributed the pressure to the growing role of AI-driven search, which increasingly answers user queries directly and reduces search referrals to the platform.
The company said Shiksha is adapting its business model and introducing new offerings to reduce its dependence on search-driven traffic. However, the transition is expected to take time, with billings growth likely to remain under pressure in the interim.
Overall, Info Edge entered the second half of FY27 with broad-based growth across recruitment, real estate and matchmaking, even as AI-driven changes to online search create a new challenge for its education business.
