MUMBAI: Mumbai has earned another place at the global dining table. Indian Accent Mumbai has made its debut on 50 Best Discovery, the curated hospitality platform that showcases standout restaurants, bars, hotels and vineyards from around the world.

The inclusion comes as 50 Best Discovery expanded its database with more than 650 new venues in July 2026, bringing over 75 cities and towns onto the platform for the first time. The latest update added more than 210 restaurants, 110 bars, 130 hotels and over 190 vineyards, introducing vineyards as a new category.

With the additions, the platform now features more than 3,500 hospitality establishments across more than 800 cities and towns worldwide. Venues are selected after receiving votes from the expert academies that compile 50 Best’s global and regional rankings. Businesses cannot apply for inclusion.

Located inside the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre, Indian Accent Mumbai opened in 2023 and has established itself as one of the city’s leading fine dining destinations. Led by executive chef Rijul Gulati, the restaurant blends regional Indian flavours with contemporary techniques, pairing modern cuisine with a strong emphasis on hospitality.

The Mumbai outpost extends the legacy of the Indian Accent brand, whose New Delhi restaurant has featured on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants list for 13 consecutive years, making it one of India’s most consistently recognised fine dining establishments.

EHV International, chief operating officer, Nitin Mathur, said the recognition marks an important milestone for the Mumbai restaurant just three years after its launch. He noted that Indian Accent has spent more than a decade showcasing contemporary Indian cuisine on the global stage while remaining rooted in Indian traditions, adding that the inclusion reflects both the restaurant’s culinary standards and its philosophy of delivering memorable hospitality.

He also said the recognition underlines Mumbai’s growing stature as an international culinary destination and acknowledged the 50 Best Academy for featuring the restaurant alongside leading hospitality venues from across the world.

Unlike the annual 50 Best rankings, 50 Best Discovery is designed as a curated travel and dining guide rather than a ranked list. Compiled through recommendations from more than 3,000 academy members across the restaurant, bar, hotel and vineyard sectors, the platform aims to help travellers discover noteworthy hospitality experiences while giving greater global visibility to standout destinations.
