MUMBAI: The corner office has a new view, but the blueprint remains firmly in place. Profine India Window Technology, the Indian subsidiary of Germany-based profine GmbH and maker of Koemmerling uPVC and aluminium window and door systems, has announced a leadership transition effective 1 June 2026, as it looks to accelerate growth in India and expand its footprint across international markets.

Under the new structure, long-serving chief executive officer Farid Khan has been elevated to the role of chairman cum managing director (CMD). Khan, who has led profine India since its inception, will now focus on long-term strategy, governance and international expansion across South Asia, the Middle East and other non-EU markets. He already serves as managing director of profine Middle East and heads the group’s global non-EU aluminium business.

Stepping into the CEO role is Kamal Bajaj, who previously served as chief procurement officer and business head of Aluminium at Profine India. The appointment marks a significant leadership milestone as the company continues to strengthen its position in India’s growing fenestration and façade sector.

The transition comes after more than two decades of Khan spearheading the company’s growth journey, overseeing the establishment of manufacturing capabilities, expanding the Koemmerling brand and driving profine India’s diversification into aluminium systems.

Bajaj, meanwhile, brings extensive operational experience and deep familiarity with the Indian market. His elevation signals continuity at a time when demand for premium window, door and façade solutions is rising alongside growth in residential, commercial and infrastructure development.

The company said its focus under the new leadership structure will remain centred on innovation, quality standards and strengthening relationships with channel partners and customers, while pursuing the next phase of expansion in both domestic and international markets.

For profine India, the leadership handover represents less of a changing of the guard and more of a passing of the baton, one aimed at ensuring the company’s growth story continues to open new doors.
