IIMBue 2026 to bring 1,500 leaders together in Bengaluru on August 1-2

BENGALURU: Leadership is about more than staying the course. That’s the central idea behind IIMBue 2026, where more than 1,500 business leaders, entrepreneurs, policymakers, investors and academicians will gather in Bengaluru next month to discuss how organisations can reinvent themselves in an era shaped by artificial intelligence, geopolitical shifts and rapidly changing markets.

Organised by the IIM Bangalore Alumni Association, the two-day leadership conclave will be held on August 1 and 2 at The Leela Bhartiya City.

The 2026 edition is built around the theme “Changing the Orbit”, encouraging leaders to move beyond incremental improvements and rethink how businesses, institutions and industries can achieve long-term transformation.

Recognised as one of India’s largest alumni-led leadership platforms, IIMBue has evolved into a forum that brings together voices from business, technology, healthcare, finance, government, media, sports, academia and the creative industries to exchange ideas on leadership and innovation.

This year’s speaker line-up includes Noel Naval Tata, chairman of Tata Trusts; Siddharth Sharma, chief executive officer of Tata Trusts; G. V. Prasad, co-chairman and managing director of Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories; Anand Ramamoorthy, founding managing director of Micron India; diplomat Deepak Vohra; and actors Boman Irani and Bhumi Pednekar, alongside several other leaders from industry, public policy and academia.

The conclave will be structured around three core themes:

• New Geometry of Power, focusing on the changing global economic and geopolitical landscape.
• Redesigning Trajectory, examining how organisations can reinvent themselves to remain competitive.
• Tech for Future Orbits, exploring the impact of artificial intelligence, deep technology and digital innovation on businesses and leadership.

Across the two days, delegates will participate in keynote addresses, fireside chats, panel discussions and networking sessions covering topics such as From Influence to Impact: Shaping Society for Tomorrow, From Molecules to Markets: Scaling Healthcare Across Borders, The Gravity Shift: Leadership in a Multipolar World, Frontier Technologies Reshaping India’s Future, Rewiring the System in the Era of AI, Beyond the Screen: Stories, Stardom & the Art of Reinvention, The New Architecture of Growth and Beyond the Scoreboard: Sport’s Next Growth Orbit.

Speaking about the event, IIM Bangalore Alumni Association president Harish Mittal said, “The pace of change today demands leaders who are willing to rethink assumptions, challenge established models and create entirely new growth trajectories. IIMBue 2026 is designed to inspire exactly those conversations.”

He added that bringing together leaders from boardrooms, venture capital, private equity, entrepreneurship, academia and public policy would provide participants with an opportunity to understand emerging trends, identify new opportunities and shape the future of leadership.

Beyond the main conference, the event will also feature a Venture Showcase, where startups can connect with investors, mentors and strategic partners, as well as the IIMB Alumni Authors’ Nook, highlighting books written by alumni and creating additional opportunities for discussion and knowledge sharing.

As businesses grapple with technological disruption and an increasingly complex global environment, IIMBue 2026 aims to position itself as more than a leadership conference. By bringing together decision-makers from across sectors, the conclave seeks to spark conversations that help organisations move beyond adapting to change and instead redefine the direction of future growth.
