Hyundai Motor India to raise vehicle prices by up to 1 per cent
Price hike from September comes amid higher input and operating costs
NEW DELHI: Hyundai is putting a little more weight on the price tag. Hyundai Motor India has announced a price increase of up to 1 per cent across its vehicle portfolio, effective September 2026.
The company said the exact increase will vary by model and variant.
In a regulatory filing dated August 19, Hyundai Motor India said the price revision has been driven by rising input and commodity costs, higher operational expenses and continuing geopolitical and macroeconomic uncertainties.
The automaker said it has been working to optimise costs and absorb part of the increase to limit the impact on customers. However, continued cost pressures have made a marginal price revision necessary.
The company has not disclosed the revised prices for individual models or variants yet.
The latest move comes as automakers continue to face pressure from input costs and broader economic uncertainties. Hyundai said the increase would pass on only part of the additional costs to customers.
The new prices will take effect across Hyundai Motor India’s portfolio from September 2026.
